Beach Boys ‘Do It Again’ On ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’

Lloyd Bishop, NBC

The 50th anniversary celebration of one of American music’s greatest treasures continues. The Beach Boys, who are in the middle of a big reunion tour, stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to perform three songs including their new single ‘That’s Why God Made The Radio.’

Along with the new song, the band also did great renditions of the classics ‘In My Room’ and ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice.’ Immensely aided by a top notch band that includes members of Brian’s solo touring band, they were able to recreate that signature Beach Boys sound.

In addition to the musical performances, Brian Wilson and Mike Love also had a sit down chat with Fallon. Fallon shows them the cover for their new album to which Brian replied, “Is that the album? Let me see that, wow that’s the first time I’ve seen our album!”

The new album, also titled ‘That’s Why God Made The Radio,’ is set for release Tuesday June 5 and the band’s tour, already getting rave reviews, is on through the summer. You can watch the performances and interview below.
