Here's to you, Mr. Art Garfunkel. The onetime grade school classmate and eventual singing partner of Paul Simon turns 71 on Nov. 5.

Together Simon & Garfunkel turned folk-influenced crooning into an art form. They collaborated on such classics as 'Mrs. Robinson,' 'Homeward Bound,' 'Cecelia,' 'Bridge Over Troubled Water,' and 'The Boxer' among many more.

After the pair split in 1970, Garfunkel went onto act in the films 'Catch-22' and 'Carnal Knowledge,' before returning to music. As a solo artist, he would go on to hit the charts with 'All I Know' and covers of 'I Only Have Eyes for You' and 'Since I Don't Have You.'
