The Allman Brothers Band will once again return to the Beacon Theatre in New York City for a residency that serves as a kick-off to the group's touring year. The band has announced 10 shows in early March, with tickets going on sale Jan. 11.

Since 1989 the Allman Brothers have sold out the Beacon 210 times, according to a press release issued by the band on Wednesday. This year, Gregg Allman, Butch Trucks, Jaimoe, Warren Hayes, Derek Trucks and company will begin their run on March 1, and finish March 16.

“The Beacon run is always magical," Allman says. "The room sounds great, lots of familiar faces and the band really stretches out. After Macon, New York is really our second home. There’s just something about it, and our fans know it.”

Allman Brothers loyalists have come to expect a supporting cast of stars and virtuosos to take the stage with the band. In the past this has meant appearances by Eric Clapton, Billy Gibbons, Johnny Winter, Kid Rock, Buddy Guy and more. The band is joining Clapton for a benefit show at Madison Square Garden in April 2013.

Tickets for the Beacon Theater dates go on sale Jan. 11 at 10AM ET through Ticketmaster and the Beacon Theatre website. The band will play on Friday, Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights March 1-16.
