Aerosmith Singer Steven Tyler’s Father Dies at Age 95
Victor Tallarico was surrounded by family at the time of his death, reports the Nashua Telegraph.
Tyler’s father, a WWII veteran, was himself an accomplished musician. He studied music at Columbia University and the Julliard Conservatory, and earned a living teaching music and performing at weddings, parties and country clubs in the New York area.
Tallarico was known to entertain his fellow community residents during the facility’s weekly cocktail hours until the age of 93.
He also beamed with undeniable respect for his son, the famous rock star. “My favorite song of his? ‘Dream On,’ Tallarico told the Nashua Telegraph in a 2010 profile. “Because it’s not really a rock song. Of course, I’m proud of him. [He’s] number one in the rock field. There is no one like him. There will never be. He, as far as I’m concerned, is a genius.”
Private services will be held by his family, but a public guest book can be viewed and signed here.
