AC/DC vs. Kansas – Ultimate Classic Rock Hall of Fame Semifinals

We’re up to the semifinals of the May 2014 edition of the Ultimate Classic Rock Hall of Fame, and AC/DC is taking on Kansas, with the winner moving on to the finals of the 100 percent fan-voted contest.

Every month, our readers will decide which of eight legendary artists or bands will be honored for their contributions to the genre. AC/DC reached this point with ease, beating Bad Company in the first round with nearly 74 percent of the vote.

Kansas, on the other hand, pulled off one of the biggest UCR Hall of Fame upsets we’ve ever seen. As proof that our editors have no say in the final voting, they defeated Kiss in a tight contest, 52-48 percent.

It’s Australian no-frills hard rock against Midwest prog. Which one will it be? That’s entirely up to you. Cast your semifinals ballot once a day between now and May 18, 2014 at 11:59PM Eastern. The next inductee will be announced on June 2. Be sure to read our official rules, and good luck to both of our Ultimate Classic Rock Hall of Fame semifinalists!
