AC/DC's classic song 'Shoot to Thrill' has been summoned into battled again, this time in the trailer for 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3,' that will be released at midnight Nov. 8 and likely go on to become this year's No. 1 video game, reports USA Today.

Interesting that a song that wasn't released as a single from the band's legendary 'Back in Black' album (yes, that's the one released in 1980 that Kurt Cobain said helped teach him guitar) has had such a resurgence.

Perhaps it's even more interesting that the song sounds so fresh as the soundtrack to this commercial, which featured Sam Worthington, Jonah Hill and Dwight Howard. The game, the third in the popular series, moves the Special Ops action from London to Africa to the Middle East and America.

Oddly, you could still think of AC/DC, which didn't even make the cover of Rolling Stone until 2008, as something of a late bloomer.

Yes, the Aussie rockers have had a storied four-decades long career and sold more than 70 million records just in the U.S. Still, they seem to be gaining in popularity, and to no small degree due to this track --'Shoot to Thrill' was used on the 2010 soundtrack of 'Iron Man 2.'
