One of the advantages of e-cigarettes is supposed to be that they're less intrusive in public spaces. Plenty of people still don't like being around them, though — just ask DJ Ashba, whose e-puffing allegedly instigated a fight over Memorial Day weekend.

TMZ has video of the incident, which purports to show Ashba mixing it up with a fellow audience member during Romeo Santos' May 24 performance at the Axis at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. The site's sources claim a couple standing near Ashba complained about his vapor, at which point Ashba is said to have asked "What are you going to do about it, buddy?," followed by the fisticuffs captured in the clip.

It's all pretty dark and blurry, so we'd take the whole thing with a grain of salt, and it's worth noting that Ashba hasn't commented publicly on the report, although he did recently urge his Instagram followers to stand up for themselves when they feel like they're being bullied.

If Ashba is indeed smoking e-cigarettes, it represents a major leap of faith — as we reported in 2013, the Guns N' Roses and Sixx:AM guitarist claimed he suffered a near-death experience after using a batch that he "bought in a mall in Poland" and discovered that they "contained high doses of nicotine and antifreeze, which kills people." At the time, Ashba said his doctors recommended that since he was such a heavy smoker that quitting could send his body into shock, he should just switch back to regular cigarettes.

Whatever might actually be going on with Ashba's nicotine habit, we can report that he's definitely working hard to promote his ASHBA Clothing business, which recently received a celebrity endorsement from none other than actor, screenwriter, singer-songwriter and lifelong beanie enthusiast Billy Bob Thornton.
