Watch Chrissie Hynde Join Brandon Flowers for a Live ‘Don’t Get Me Wrong’ Duet

Chrissie Hynde took the stage in London last night to join Killers frontman Brandon Flowers for a duet performance of the Pretenders hit "Don't Get Me Wrong."

Flowers is on the road in support of his new solo album The Desired Effect, which finds him resuming life outside the Killers following their 2012 release, Battle Born. Like a substantial portion of the band's output, Effect bears the distinct influence of '80s pop, and includes guest appearances from musical icons of the decade such as Bruce Hornsby and Pet Shop Boy Neil Tennant.

"Don't Get Me Wrong," released at the height of the Pretenders' flirtation with pop production techniques, fits right in with Flowers' recent work, and as you can see from the above fan-shot footage, he and Hynde had fun performing the song as a duet. She returned the favor during the set's follow-up number, the Desired Effect track "Between Me and You"; you can check out their performance of the song below.

Hynde, between musical projects after releasing her solo debut Stockholm last year, plans to release her memoirs this fall. She also recently announced that she's donating a signed guitar to this year's auction for the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.
