Woman Sees Pentagram in School Bus Lights

At the birth of rock 'n’ roll in the mid-‘50s, many of its detractors referred to it as the “Devil’s music.” In the 60 years that have followed, the genre has become such a part of the fabric of American society that even the nation’s schools are affected. Or at least that’s the connection a woman could make after she spotted a pentagram in the brake lights of a school bus.

According to WNEP, a woman in Cordova, Tenn. — which, coincidentally, is a suburb of rock’s birthplace in Memphis — is outraged after noticing that the lights form the shape of an upside-down five-pointed star, long considered to be associated with the occult and Satanism. Apparently, it's the equivalent of an “I Brake for Satan” bumper sticker.

“Anyone who fears a God, if not God and Jesus Christ, should be outraged,” she said. “If you can’t put a cross on there, you can’t put a pentagram on it.” The woman has withheld her identity because she says she received death threats when she shared a photo of the bus on social media.

It does not appear that Rush, whose logo also includes a five-pointed star, were reached for comment.
