During an eventful Q&A session with HuffPost Live that also found him urging American immigrants to learn the English language, Kiss co-founder Gene Simmons also dealt with a bit of interview-crashing from members of 'flower punk' band Black Lips.

In the clip embedded above, Black Lips -- sporting what appear to be hastily painted homemade versions of Kiss' trademark makeup -- confront Simmons with a boastful (and assuredly tongue-in-cheek) show of verbal force against the Kiss Army. "Mr. Simmons, we’re here to tell you that the day of misogynistic, sexist rock ’n’ roll is over," said guitarist/singer Jack Hines. "We call for the complete and utter surrender of the Kiss Army. Lay down your guitars. Do you accept our terms of surrender?"

To no one's surprise, Simmons seemed perfectly bemused by the younger band's act of rock effrontery, drolly responding, "Yes. I surrender, entirely. And I wanted to compliment your mom for the wonderful way that she designed the decoration on the basement she lets you live in. I think it’s very attractive. I hope you get to leave your mom’s basement soon."

Simmons then went on to suggest that the Black Lips also need to learn to speak English and wondered, "But they’re not black. What are they, racist?"
