Stop us if you've heard this one before. Following the cancellation of SeaWorld concerts by REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick and Heart in the past week, 38 Special have just wiped the aquatic theme park off its list of upcoming shows.

The band announced the news on its Facebook page, stating, "Due to concerns raised by the CNN documentary 'Blackfish,' 38 Special will be canceling its scheduled March 9th concert at SeaWorld. We appreciate the outpouring of support and especially apologize to our Orlando fans. We will try and schedule another performance in your area in the near future."

SeaWorld has weathered a storm of bad publicity ever since the documentary 'Blackfish' -- which highlights alleged unfair treatment of the marine animals at the park -- began picking up momentum. 38 Special are the sixth act to drop out of the annual Bands, Brew and BBQ concert series. Willie Nelson and Barenaked Ladies have also pulled out over the past couple weeks.

Unlike Cheap Trick and REO Speedwagon, 38 Special cite 'Blackfish' as the specific reason for their cancellation. In addition to all of the artists who are crossing SeaWorld off their concert schedules, Joan Jett sent a cease-and-desist letter to the park's CEO last week asking him to stop playing 'I Love Rock 'N Roll' at SeaWorld's shows.

Even though Orlando fans won't get to see 38 Special, they have a full lineup of shows starting in the new year. They signed off their Facebook post with some Christmas cheer: "The band wishes everyone a happy holiday season and look forward to seeing you all again in 2014."
