On January 29, 2013, Legacy Recordings will release a 30th anniversary edition of 'Texas Flood,' the debut album by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. The two-CD set will include a previously unreleased 1983 concert.

Recorded in three days at Jackson Browne's studio, 'Texas Flood' helped kick off the blues revival of the mid-1980s. Opening with the walloping 'Love Struck Baby,' the record features such classics as 'Pride and Joy,' which came in at No. 61 on our list of the Top 100 Classic Rock Songs, the slow-burning title track, 'Mary Had a Little Lamb,' and the  jazzy instrumental closer, 'Lenny.'

Vaughan's Stratocaster playing on 'Texas Flood' drew comparisons to Jimi Hendrix and Albert King and made him an instant guitar hero. It reached No. 38 on the Billboard 200 and was nominated for two Grammy Awards. To date, it has sold more than 2 million copies. Vaughan released four more albums before his untimely death in a helicopter crash on August 27, 1990 at the age of 35.

The 30th anniversary edition contains the remastered album with a bonus cut, 'Tin Pan Alley (aka Roughest Place in Town),' Vaughan's Oct. 20, 1983 concert at Ripley's Music Hall in Philadelphia and liner notes by music historian Ashley Kahn.
