The man behind so many iconic album covers, Storm Thorgerson, died April 18th. Among his legendary creations are the covers of Pink Floyd‘s ‘The Dark Side of the Moon,’ 'Atom Heart Mother' and 'Wish You Were Here.' As part of the Hipgnosis company, he also worked on sleeves for Led Zeppelin, Peter Gabriel, and many more. David Gilmour called Thorgerson’s art “an inseparable part of our work," and said, “He has been a constant force in my life, both at work and in private, a shoulder to cry on and a great friend."
