Singer/guitarist Steve Hyams passed away on May 21after years of heart problems. He was only 62. Mot exactly a household name on his own, but among those he worked with were Wings drummer Denny Seiwell and, for a short time, Mott the Hoople. Friends with Mott for years, he joined up at the very end of their career, working with them on six tracks in 1977 that were later released as ‘World Cruise.’ Hyams also released two solo albums.
