The legendary folk artist, Richie Havens, died on April 22 from an undisclosed illness. He was 72. Havens long career dates back to the early '60s when he was part of the Greenwich Village folk scene. His interpretations of other artists songs was his calling card, having hits with George Harrison‘s ‘Here Comes the Sun' and Bob Dylan‘s ‘Just Like a Woman.’ His performance of his own composition, 'Freedom,' at Woodstock was a moment of true legend.
