Guitarist Dan Toler passed away on Feb. 25 from complications from ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. He was 65 years old. Toler was a member of the extended Allman Brothers Band family, getting his start with Dickey Betts & Great Southern, playing on their first two LP's. He then joined a reformed Allman Brothers Band in 1979, and subsequently played on solo work from Gregg Allman.
